THREE departing RGC stars were honoured during their final home game for the club.

Jacob Botica, Tiaan Loots and Alex Schwartz will all be leaving to try their hand at the professional ranks after another standout campaign, and they all received a rapturous round of applause from the Gogs’ supporters at Stadiwm Zip World prior to their thrilling victory over Newport.

The trio were also presented with framed shirts acknowledging the contribution each of them has made to the significant rise of the North Wales side, who are now firmly established as a Principality Premiership force.

General manager Sion Jones described each of them as “great ambassadors” for rugby in North Wales, just a day prior to confirming the signing of prop Joel Ringer and securing the commitment of a number of key squad members for next season.

Botica and Loots will ply their trade within the regions next term after penning deals with Newport Gwent Dragons, while scrum-half Schwartz will cross the border into the English system with Cornish Pirates.
