GWALCHMAI turned in another impressive display to come away with a 2-1 Gwynedd League victory at Beaumaris Town.

The improving side have enjoyed a fine run of form of late, and their latest success sees them move into fourth spot in the standings and eight points behind leaders Bro Goronwy, who also have two games in hand.

Despite the eventual result it was the home side that started the stronger and they took the lead on 11 minutes when Dan Jones took advantage of some hesitant defending to fire into the net.

This finally spurred the visitors into life and they began to see more of the ball throughout the first period, something which resulted in Harry Jones levelling matters on 40 minutes.

After the break saw the away side take further control of proceedings and prolific forward Mark Griffiths put them ahead for the first time in the contest on 67 minutes with a typically composed finish, and they saw out the remainder of the clash to claim their fifth away success in nine games.
