BRO Goronwy continued their excellent form to progress in the Meditel Cup with a narrow 1-0 win at Waunfawr.
The second round encounter was a hotly contested affair in terrible conditions, which made things difficult for both sides to play their normal expansive style.
Andy Williams managed to separate the sides with a fine effort on 78 minutes, and despite a late rally from the home side the Gwynedd League leaders held on to advance.
Gwalchmai turned in their most impressive attacking display of the campaign to secure a 10-0 rout at Llanllyfni.
Mark Griffiths and Kieran Sinnott each fired in a treble apiece in what was a dominant display throughout, with Chris Saxton, Corey Sinnott and Geraint Jones also finding the target to put the exclamation point on proceedings.
Llangoed also picked up a much-needed league success with a 3-1 victory over Talysarn Celts.
A brace from Llion Roberts did the majority of the damage, with Mathew Cole finishing well in stoppage time to confirm the three points.
