SOME super runs from Menai Track and Field athletes at Saturday's Welsh Cross Country Championships at Glanusk saw all eight finish in their respective top tens and three of them take Welsh titles.
In the under 13’s, Oliver Barbaresi had to settle for sixth in the boys having been in the leading group for most of the race, while a much improved run saw Caitlin Howell-Williams take 10th in the girls race.
The under 15’s girls race saw Menai's first title of the day go to Cari Hughes, who won her second national title of the winter cross country season after taking the Welsh Inter Region title in December.
In the same race Mollie Davies came home 10th, and in the boys race, Kyle Owen finished in eighth.
Iolo Hughes, running in the under 17’s mens race, took the club's second title of the day after a well judged performance that saw him some 100 metres clear at the finish. Rhys James was 8th.
Winning the club's third title, this time in the under 20’s womens race, was Sarah Livett, who claimed her first ever National Cross Country title with her blistering run.
