CITY maintained their lead at the Welsh Premier League summit with a thumping win against Prestatyn.

Debutant Damien Allen instantly endeared themselves to Bangor fans when he opened the scoring after 13 minutes at Bastion Gardens.

Sion Edwards added a second shortly after, and Chris Jones, Kyle Wilson and Marc Smyth completed the rout after the break .

Defeats for Afan Lido and Airbus UK Broughton secured Town's top six spot, despite their convincing loss, but a red card for skipper Dave Hayes in the final minute added another sour note to proceedings for Town.

The win sees Nev Powell's men a point ahead of second-placed TNS, who won 5-0 against Newtown, ahead of the league split.
