TWO young brothers from Bangor have been busy spreading some Easter joy after "hatching" a plan to collect chocolate eggs and donate them to those less fortunate than themselves.

Jack and Kian Jeffreys, aged six and eight, collected a total of 283 eggs, along with boxes of sweets and chocolates too.

The pair set up an appeal last month asking for eggs to be donated to their cause so that they could distribute them to individuals who might not otherwise receive them.

The eggs and sweets have since been distributed between the Dewi Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor Women’s aid, Action for Children, Social Services and Ty Gobiath, all in time for Easter.

Proud mum, Donna, thanked everyone who has donated to her sons' appeal.

"The response to it has been better than I could have ever imagined." she said.

“Those who received donations were so grateful. The smiles and gratitude made it all worth while.

"I am so proud of what the boys have done and with how they behaved when visiting places where children were poorly."

Following the success of their appeal, the boys now hope to follow it up with another one in Easter 2019.
