ANGRY parents and governors in Llangoed say "leave our school alone” after fears were raised over its closure.
This week, it was announced that campaigners fighting to save Beaumaris Primary School had won a temporary stay of execution whilst alternative options were considered by council chiefs.
However, one alternative mooted was the closure of Llangoed Primary School instead.
Now, parents and governors at the 87 pupil school have organised a meeting tonight (Thursday) to form a response committee and to start a petition.
Katie Jones, who is on the School PTA, and has a daughter at the school, said: “We are angry at this new threat and hope everyone will support us. We have a very strong community in Llangoed and will have the whole village behind us.
“We live in in Pentraeth but made the decision to send our daughter to Llangoed as we felt it was the better school.”
The meeting is at Llangoed Village Hall at 6.30pm and everyone is welcome.”
