POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Benllech which left a driver seriously injured.
At 7:45am this morning (Sunday), police were notified of the one-vehicle collision on Bangor Road, involving a blue coloured Ford Kuga which had collided with a wall.
The 65-year-old driver was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance where he remains in a serious condition.
Sergeant Anja Macleod of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, and are keen on speaking to anybody who may have been travelling in or around the area of Bangor Road and who may have dash cam footage.”
The road between the new Glanrafon flats and the square in Benllech is closed and it is expected to re-open at lunchtime.
