NORTH Wales police are investigating after an attempted break in at a Llangefni court.

A window was smashed when thieves attempted to get into Llangefni County Court, in Glanhwfa Road, on Sunday, March 25.

At about 9.40pm, an alarm was activated at the Court House and a member of the public saw two young men running from the premises in the direction of the Library in Mill Street.

A rear window was later discovered to have been smashed and officers are treating the incident as an attempted burglary.

Sergeant Chris Burrow said: "We are very keen to identify two people seen running from the premises. Both are described as young males and one was stocky and carrying a rucksack.

"His accomplice wore a light grey hooded top and dark trousers. We’d like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or activity in the area during the evening at the time of the break-in or anyone who knows anything about this incident.

"I’m also asking local businesses and communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. It is also worth reminding the community to ensure their property is always locked and secured or kept out of sight.”
