A TEMPORARILY disabled man, who drowned in Llyn Padarn at Llanberis last November, possibly slipped into the lake, a coroner said.

Robert Evans, 55, a warehouseman, of Deiniolen, had been injured in a hit-and-run and had a metal frame around his leg.

He had probably gone for a walk on his crutches, coroner Nicola Jones told his inquest in Caernarfon.

She suggested he had sat down but skidded into the water when he tried to get up again.

A kayaker spotted his body near the water’s edge.
