AN injured man had to be rescued after a bad fall from rocks at Trearddur Bay on Monday.
The man, in his 30s, sustained injuries to his face, knee, had a suspected broken femur and possible spinal injury after falling near the Mackerel Rock fishing spot.
Trearddur Bay RNLI launched both its vessels. The volunteer crew were called at 1.42pm and a coastguard cliff team attended the scene. The RNLI D Class crew were placed on rocks to help a paramedic with the casualty. He was then taken on the Atlantic 85 to the Trearddur Bay RNLI boathouse to await an ambulance. Lee Duncan, who helmed the D Class, said: "It was a great bit of teamwork between the coastguard and lifeboat crew, the operation couldn’t have been smoother considering the location."
