THERE is plenty going on to bring a bit of cheer to the dark winter nights of February at the Ucheldre Centre, in Holyhead.

In the next few weeks, there is everything from recitals, to ballet, operas to classic dramas, as well as workshops and classes covering every possible taste and interest.

Coming up this Saturday, February 3, is a performance by Iwan Llewellyn-Jones. He presents an evening of piano music from the Magical World of Claude Debussy from 7.30pm. In Innocence and Childhood, he explores the world of childhood.

Wednesday, February 7, sees the ROH Live Braodacst of the opera Tosca, by Puccini, at 7.15pm. The Met Opera Encore: L'Elisir d'Amor (Donizetti)is on at 5pm, on Sunday, February 11.

There is also a chance to treat your loved one to a romantic, entertaining evening out on Valentine's Day. Adrian Edmondson and Kara Tointon are starring in the RSC Twelfth Night production, being broadcast live to the auditorium, at 7pm, on Wednesday, February 14.

It's a classic Shakespeare story of mistaken identity and role reversal. The popular comedy is influenced by the traditional themes of end of Christmas celebrations. Playing at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon, the show is directed by Christopher Luscombe. Another classic tale coming up is A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, by Tennessee Williams, starring Sienna Millar, on at 7pm, on Thursday, February 22.
