NORTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was knocked over by a motorist who failed to stop in Caernarfon.

The incident happened in Pool Street, on Sunday, January 7.

Investigating officer PC Andy Goulding said: ‘Shortly after 7pm, a local man was walking at the top of Pool Street, Caernarfon, in the direction of the British Legion when he was knocked over by a passing motorist who failed to stop and carried on driving towards Poolside.

"Initial enquiries point towards the vehicle possibly being a silver coloured Corsa type car and we keen to hear from anyone who was in the area, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam that assists our investigation."

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and an investigation is underway.
