A WELSH government minister will help a forest fun park celebrate its 25 birthday with a special tree planting event.
Lord Elis-Thomas AM Minister for culture, tourism and sport will tour the GreenWood site at Felinheli and plant a Welsh oak tree.
GreenWood, opened its gates to visitors on May 24, 1993. To mark that date, on Tuesday, May 24, the park will be celebrating.
Juliana Delaney, who will welcome the minister and invite him to plant the sapling, said: “Twenty five year years in any business is a success story but GreenWood is so much more than a business.
"It is a magical place that generations have come to together to enjoy time as a family.
"The greatest compliments to the business, are the recommendations and positive feelings it generates across countless visitors.
"The strong green credentials of the site, from a solar splash ride to a people powered rollercoaster, also inspire people to think more about their impact on our lovely Welsh environment.”
