CLASS A controlled drugs and associated paraphernalia were recovered in a police swoop in Bangor.

A 17-year-old male from Manchester, and a 43-year old local man were arrested on suspicion of drugs supply offences and remain in custody.

North Wales Police officers from the Gwynedd North Tasking Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant in Lon Pobty, Bangor, on Thursday, April 26.

Sergeant James Tyler at Caernarfon Police Station said a "quantity of controlled drugs and other items" had been seized.

"Two people are assisting with our enquiries. Our commitment to keeping our communities safe remains a priority, and today’s action under Operation Rattle is another positive result in the ongoing efforts" He said.

"Our commitment to rid our communities of those who possess and supply controlled drugs is our priority and in line with ‘Operation Scorpion’ is directly targeting serious and organised crime.

"Today’s action under Operation Rattle is a continuation of that process and we are determined to keep our communities safe.

"For those involved in drugs supply there is #NoHidingPlace.

"Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive, robust action."
