A MAN and woman were arrested and later released under 'investigation' following another police drugs operation in Bangor.

North Wales Police are continuing to target those concerned in the supply of controlled drugs in the region following a Misuse Of Drugs Act search warrant in the city on Friday, January 26.

Detective Sergeant Andy Davies at the Western Priority Crime Team said: “Officers executed a Misuse Of Drugs Act search warrant in Plas Glyndwr Bangor and arrested two local people, a 45-year-old man and 51-year-old woman for being concerned in the supply of class A controlled drugs and following interview both were ‘released under investigation.’

“Our commitment to rid our communities of those who possess and supply controlled drugs is our priority and in line with ‘Operation Scorpion’ is directly targeting serious and organised crime.

"Friday’s action under Operation Rattle is a continuation of that process and we are determined to keep our communities safe. For those involved in drugs supply there is #No Hiding Place.

"It is vitally important we listen to concerns and where necessary take proportionate action. You say – We do. Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive, robust action.

"However we can’t tackle this problem alone and key to all our work, and that of our partners, is intelligence and I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us. ”
