A UNIVERSITY student who admitted failing to tell police that he had moved home was jailed for five months.
Christian Scott, 21, had to register with police after being convicted of having and distributing child porn, Caernarfon crown court heard.
He informed them that he lived in Cae Llepa, Bangor, but later he stayed in Upper Garth Road, Bangor, the prosecution said.
Elen Owen, defending, said safeguarding authorities were happy with the student accommodation but he broke the terms of the registration requirement. “It was a silly decision of his,” counsel remarked.
Judge Rhys Rowlands told Scott it seemed he had learned nothing from past court appearances.
“The registration requirement was imposed in order to offer a measure of protection for children,” the judge said.
