Coastal defences underway

TREADDUR Bay's coastal defences are set to be shored up by a new £1.5m scheme.

Work is now underway on strengthening the promenade and reconstructing the sea wall on Ravenspoint Road, in response to constant flooding during stormy weather.

The Trearddur Bay Coastal Scheme will also see measures put into place to effectively channel most future floodwater back into the sea, in the hopes of reducing the possibility of the coastal defence failing in the future.
