BREAKING NEWS - Youths climbing bridge spark emergency services action

THE police, coastguard and a lifeboat crew were sent to the Menai Suspension Bridge after two youths were seen climbing the chains towards the top.

At 3.12am on Sunday, Holyhead Coastguard requested the launch of the Beaumaris lifeboat after a call came from the police stating that two youths were climbing the bridge.

Upon arrival at the bridge, the Bangor Coastguard team who were on the bridge informed the lifeboat that the youths in question were in police custody.
