POLICE have issued an Efit of the mugger who grabbed a woman by the throat before demanding cash.

At around 10:30pm on Wednesday, April 9, the 19-year-old was walking alone up Glanrafon Hill after being on a night out.

When she reached the entrance of Brynteg Terrace, which is situated just off Glanrafon Hill, a man approached her from behind.

The man then grabbed the woman by her throat and demanded money from her.

She gave him cash before she then kicked him to his shin, and then managed to run away and alert police.

The man is described as being white, between 5ft9 and 5ft 10 with very short hair with a receding hairline.

He had a poor complexion and was unshaved, and is also described as having a large nose.

He was wearing a top with a white collar and was possibly wearing jeans. He spoke with a local accent.

The student was left shocked but unhurt by the incident.
