THE woman who was found off the coast of Anglesey has been named.

Dorothy Parry, 81, of the Craig y Don Estate in Benllech, was brought to shore in Amlwch by the RNLI Moelfre lifeboat crew shortly before 12pm yesterday (Tuesday).

The crew of a tanker moored off Port Lynas spotted the body in the sea and raised the alarm.

The lifeboat crew recovered the woman onto the RNLI Lifeboat and proceeded into Amlwch Port.

Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat Volunteer Press officer Dave Massey praised the crew for navigating the boat through force seven winds and large waves.

He added: “All the crew at the Moelfre RNLI lifeboat station wish to send their condolences to the lady’s family’.

Police and paramedics attended the scene.

A North Wales Police spokesman confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

North Wales coroner Dewi Pritchard-Jones has opened and adjourned an inquest into the death.
