A LLANDUDNO beauty queen will be looking for love on the hit ITV show Take Me Out this weekend.
Elle Harrison, 24, who was crowned Miss Prestatyn in 2009, will be appearing on the Saturday night dating gameshow in which thirty single women compete to win a holiday with an eligible bachelor.
Elle, who works as a fitness instructor for Gwynedd Council, said she had great fun taking part in the primetime hit.
“It was fantastic, I would do it all again,” she said. “My agent told me about the auditions, which were in Manchester in October.
"I went along and they made he hold an aerobics class as part of my audition - I had to do it in six inch heels and a mini skirt, which was different, but two days later I was told I had been shortlisted.
“It doesn’t feel real at the moment - when I watch the show, it’s like seeing my friends on TV. I’ll probably just cringe when I’m on!
One of the highlights for Elle was meeting host Paddy McGuinness, whose cheeky catchphrases have helped make the show a primetime TV favourite.
“Paddy was really shy, but when he’s on camera he’s great and comes up with all of his slogans, he just made them up. He was really funny,” Elle said. “He was really lovely - my brother is getting married in two weeks and I told Paddy how he’s a huge fan of him and the show, and he wrote him a card to wish him well with jokes from the show in.
Elle, who lives in Llandudno, has since been invited to appear alongside her new friends from the show at the TV Awards later this month, before moving to Manchester for a new job.
“In April I am going to Manchester to work for Monarch Airlines. I’ll still be doing my modelling and dancing, but I think it’s time to be a little more serious now.
Elle is on the show on ITV1 this Saturday at 8pm.
