FOOTBALL: Second home point for Llangefni

A LAST gasp equaliser from Rich Higham saw defending Cymru Alliance champions Llangefni Town earn only the second home point of the season in last weekend’s one all draw with Llandudno.

The visitors went ahead just before half time as Alex Williams found the back of the net, but to Cefni’s credit, they kept fighting and as another disappointment in front of the Cae Bob Parry support loomed large, they grabbed a point.

As a result the club is pulling away from the danger zone and slipping into mid table, but Gus Williams will want to see more from his side in front of their own fans with Cefni still looking for that first home win of the campaign.

A good time to get it would be this Saturday when title chasing Rhyl come calling (2.30pm).

The Lilywhites have won four of their seven away matches and come into the match as clear favourites but Cefni are sure to make a fight of it.
