A PENSIONER was airlifted to hospital after he fell while mountain walking in Snowdonia.

The man, 74, fell around 15 metres while walking on Tryfan yesterday (Monday, October 11).
An Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team spokesman said that the man, of Yorkshire, was briefly unconscious but decided to continue down the mountain with his wife.
The pair, experienced hill walkers, called the mountain rescue team for help shortly at 1.45pm when the man started to feel unwell.
An RAF 22 Squadron helicopter airlifted the man to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor where he was treated for superficial head and leg injuries.
