A BOY aged just 13 has been convicted of sexually touching two schoolgirls.
He locked one girl in a bathroom and touched her breasts.
The second girl forced her way into the bathroom to help her friend out but the boy exposed himself and touched the second girl on the breasts, a youth court was told yesterday.
The boy, from the Mold area, denied two charges of sexually touching the two girls, both aged 13, and exposing his genitals.
But he was convicted.
At Flintshire Magistrates’ Court he was made the subject of a 12 month youth referral order and placed on supervision.
Helen Hall, prosecuting, said that the offences occurred in May.
All three were friends and the offences happened at the home of one of the girls after school.
The first victim had allowed him to enter her home on condition that he remained in the kitchen.
But he had gone upstairs.
She went to look for him and when she entered the bathroom it was alleged that he closed and locked the door before sexually touching her.
Her friend got into the bathroom to help her but she was also sexually touched to the breasts and the boy also exposed himself.
Huw Roberts, defending, said his client did not accept the conviction.
He maintained he was not guilty, that it had not happened, but accepted he had to be sentenced following his conviction.
The case had been capped at a community level, the facts were at the lowest level of gravity and he suggested a community order.
Mr Roberts said that the main aggravating feature of such cases was normally disparity of age but that was not present in the case because all three were aged 13.
The alleged touching had been over clothing, and it was a brief fleeting encounter, he said.
The defendant was a youngster of good character who came from a good family.
