A WOMAN who gave birth prematurely has put a whole new spin on the typical fundraiser.

Amy Butterworth, owner of Chester-based Candy and Chrome, is offering women the chance to try pole dancing.

Proceeds from the sessions will go to the Special Care Baby Units (SCBU) at Wrexham Maelor and to the Countess of Chester hospital.

Amy said: “I gave birth to my daughter Millie only months ago at Wrexham Maelor, where she spent some time in a SCBU. The staff deserve our gratitude and support.

“I was very touched by what they do there. They rely on donations to keep giving ongoing care so I want to do what I can.”

Amy will offer the discount dance sessions in Flintshire and Cheshire next month.

There are sessions at The Crowne Plaza in Chester on September 4 from noon, at the Ocean Gym in Queensferry on September 5 from 4pm and at the Forest Hills
Hotel in Frodsham on September 12 from noon.
