THE crowds braved the rain to attend the annual Holyhead Festival.
Organising committee chairman Dave Brewer said that the event, held at Newry Beach over the weekend, was a success.
“Saturday was a bit of a wash out but we and a steady flow of people,” he said. “The weather was lovely on Sunday, though, and the crowds came out.”
Entertainment included a Michael Jackson tribute night at the Railway Club on Friday evening, the festival parade on Saturday and an RNLI lifeboat demonstration on Sunday.
A Thriller themed competition was held at Holyhead Sailing Club on Saturday after the planned line dance at Newry Beach was cancelled due to rain.
