JEREMY Pugh summed it up as a “pathetic display” after watching Builth Wells beaten by Corus.
The Bulls coach hit out after another defeat added to their growing relegation worries in division one (West).
“It was men against boys,” said Pugh. “These lads need to grow up because right now they are showing the attention span of a two year old.
“As coach I must make the best of the squad I have at my disposal, but what can I say when they abandoned our tactics after only 15 minutes.
“These lads must start showing me more,” fumed Pugh. “They allowed themselves to be bullied by Corus, which is totally unacceptable.”
Builth Wells now face an enforced lay-off due to the Six Nations, before returning to action against current league leaders Tonmawr.
“I was frustrated with the commitment of some players and overall there has to be 100 per cent improvement,” added Pugh.
Corus tore ahead with an early try from Rowan Davies and while Scott Robinson missed the conversion, the visiting fly-half succeeded with two penalties.
However Builth Wells launched a riposte and were soon level with scrum-half Geraint Jones going over for a pushover try.
Two successful penalties from John Thurston brought Builth Wells back on terms.
However Builth appeared to abandon their game plan and allowed the Port Talbot side back into the game in the second-half.
Further tries from Simon Evans and Mark Harvey were converted by Robinson to compound a miserable afternoon for Builth.
Adding to their woes was a serious injury incurred by wing Gethin Davies, who will miss the remainder of the season with a broken collar bone.
