A WEEKEND search has failed to find missing Buckley woman Pauline Edwards.
Eight days after the 68 year-old failed to return to her holiday home in Trefor, near Caernarfon, police mounted a huge search of the area involving mountain rescure teams, search and rescue dogs, the coastguard and the force helicopter.
Mrs Edwards was reported missing by husband John on Friday, February 5, when she did not come home after spending the afternoon walking.
The widespread search included the shoreline close by and officers also be carried out high-visibility patrols and house to house inquiries.
Insp Mark Armstrong, who is heading up the search, said: “Despite several lines of inquiry there has been no trace of Mrs Edwards since she was last spotted at around 4pm on Friday, February 5, walking on a footpath leading down to the beach.
“We are concerned for her safety and whereabouts and are urging anybody who may have seen her, or anybody who may have information that could assist us to come forward.”
Mrs Edwards’ family have appealed to their “beautiful mother and wonderful wife” to get in touch.
Her husband, and daughters Julie and Penny said: “Please come home or let us know you are safe and well.
"We all miss you dearly and love you very much."
Mrs Edwards is 5ft 2in, of slim build, with collar length straight brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black coat with a fur collar, three quarter length black trousers and black boots.
