Man dies after Snowdonia fall

A MAN has died after falling on Snowdonia.

Shortly after 4pm on Friday, North Wales Police received a report that a man had fallen nearly 40 metres while walking on Pen yr Ole Wen in Snowdonia.

The RAF Seaking helicopter from RAF Valley was scrambled and along with Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team reached the man at 5.49pm.

The man was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor where he was pronounced dead.
