POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Bangor.
>body_text<The biker, in his 50s, who was riding a Triumph motorcycle, was taken to hospital following the incident in Penrhosgarnedd, Bangor on Saturday, April 15.
>body_text<According to police at approximately 2:45pm, a collision occurred on Penrhos Road on the junction with Goleufryn involving a car and a motorbike.
>body_text<The car - a silver coloured Suzuki Grand Vitara, was heading towards the dirction of the A55 when it collided with the motorbike which was travelling in the opposite direction.
>body_text<The rider was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd by ambulance. He has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.
>body_text<PC Alun Jones from the Roads Policing Unit said: "Penrhosgarnedd is a busy area and we are Ppealing for any witnesses who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward."
