Police appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist seriously injured in Bangor collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Bangor.

The biker, in his 50s, who was riding a Triumph motorcycle, was taken to hospital following the incident in Penrhosgarnedd, Bangor on Saturday, April 15.

According to police at approximately 2:45pm, a collision occurred on Penrhos Road on the junction with Goleufryn involving a car and a motorbike.

The car - a silver coloured Suzuki Grand Vitara, was heading towards the dirction of the A55 when it collided with the motorbike which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd by ambulance. He has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries. 

PC Alun Jones from the Roads Policing Unit said: "Penrhosgarnedd is a busy area and we are Ppealing for any witnesses who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward."
