PUPILS at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones have produced some of the school’s best ever GCSE results.
The number of students at the Amlwch school achieving five level two qualifications (including maths and language) was 64.2per cent.
Headteacher Aaron Bayley said: “Once again this year we are very proud of the achievements and progress of our wonderful students.
“They have represented the school and their community exceptionally well and have achieved some of the best results in the school’s history.
“They have shown real promise as they embark on the next phase of their learning. We look forward to working closely with many of them from September as they return to study for their A-levels in the sixth form here at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones.
Particularly successful across their subjects were Freya Moran (8A*,3A), Eabha Roberts (8A*, 2A), Cerys White (5A*,5A) Llyr Evans (4A*, 6As, 1C) Charlotte Hancox (2A*, 8As) Jackie Hutchinson, (2A*, 7As, 1B) and Jenny Nutbourne (2A*, 7As, 1B).
