Man injured in Bangor car crash

A MAN was taken to hospital with a back injury after a single-vehicle car crash in Bangor last night (Thursday).

An ambulance crew was called to the scene of a road traffic collision at 10.36pm, near the Antelope Inn, on Holyhead Road Bangor, involving a red Peugeot 106.

Police and a fire crew from Bangor were then alerted to the scene.

Firefighters helped paramedics to get the 20 year-old male occupant out of the car after the had sustained a back injury.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “At 10.36pm last night, Thursday July 31, we were called to a road traffic collision on Holyhead Road in Bangor.

"A crew in an emergency ambulance attended, and a man in his 20s with non-life threatening injuries was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd.”
