FREE WiFi will soon be available in North Wales’ three major hospitals.

Anyone with a smartphone, PC or tablet device will be able to log on to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s new wireless internet network in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd or Wrexham Maelor hospital after it is rolled out over the coming weeks.

A health board spokesperson said: “As we are striving to improve patient comfort whilst inside our buildings, we recognise that it important element in allowing patients to keep in touch with loved ones and also aid recovery while on wards.

“Our IT engineers have worked extremely hard to establish this initial network to provide these benefits to patients and will be rolling out the wifi access to other health board buildings shortly.”

The health board will make a full announcment next week.
