Firefighters tackle 300 square metre blaze near Llanberis

A LARGE gorse and bracken fire near Llanberis is thought to have been deliberately-lit.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to the 300 square metre blaze near Clwt y Bont shortly before 8.30pm on Wednesday, June 18.

Crews from Llanberis and Caernarfon, as well as an off road vehicle from Conwy, were called to tackle the fire.

Firefighters used beaters to extinguished the fire, which a North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said was believed to be deliberately-lit.
