Anglesey launches Christmas dinner on ice

AN ANGLESEY ice cream parlour has launched an unusual range of ice creams with a festive flavour.

The Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour at Beaumaris, Anglesey, is embracing the winter chill this year by launcing a limited edition ‘Christmas Dinner’ selection of ice creams.

Starting with the traditional Christmas Dinner ice cream complete with roast turkey, crunchy roast potatoes, sprouts and cranberry sauce with a special gravy to pour over, made of warm Italian sipping chocolate.

A new stuffing ice cream with sweet chestnuts accompanies the Christmas dinner flavour, as well as a complementary 'pig in blanket treat', while for afters, the Christmas Pudding and Brandy Ice Cream completes the quintessential Christmas meal.

Served on a platter of three, this unique collection of ice creams has been developed to celebrate all things Christmas in Beaumaris and keep visitors in the seaside frame of mind during the festive season.

Opened in 2009, Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour is renowned for its innovative and quirky flavour combinations and the creative mind of owner Tony Green.

Tony said: “We feel that ice cream should be enjoyed all year round and wanted to create something truly special for visitors and residents of Anglesey at Christmas.

“Anglesey has earned a reputation for being a mecca for foodies and we always like to serve up something a little bit different - this selection of deliciously festive gelato is no exception.”

This new selection of festive ice creams is available at the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour, Beaumaris, Anglesey, from now until Christmas Eve.
