EMERGENCY services have been called to a 'medical incident' on Rhyl seafront today.

North Wales Police, Welsh Ambulance Service and Wales Air Ambulance have all been at the scene on Aquarium Street - but Police officers insist there is 'no risk to the public'.

A spokesperson said: ""Police are investigating an incident on Aquarium Street Rhyl.

"Please avoid the area as there is some disruption on surrounding roads including West Parade and Wellington Road.

"This is due to road closures on Aquarium Street, Palace Avenue and River Street.

"There is no risk to the public and we thank you for your patience and co-operation with this matter."

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 11:13am by North Wales Police.

"We have two ambulance cars, an ambulance and a helicopter at the scene.

"At the moment it is being treated as a medical incident."
