A ZOO is opening its doors to witches, wizards and ghoulish goblins this Halloween.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo, in Colwyn Bay, is inviting visitors - especially little ones - to don their scariest outfits as part of their Shriek Week.
Two weeks of fiendish fun starts today (Saturday, October 20) and will run until November 4.
Amongst the dastardly activities taking place are a series of Swamp Wallaby talks, Reptile Talks, trails, pumpkin carving competition, craft activities and the best zoo themed outfit competition, which will run on social media.
Jen Jesse, administration and operations director at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, said: “This is a fantastic time of the year for young visitors as we really do throw ourselves into the spirit of Halloween.
"There’s tonnes to see and do and get involved in throughout the entire two weeks and we look forward to opening the gates for visitors both near and far."
As part of the week event, the zoo will celebrate Reptile Awareness Day on the October 21, World Snow Leopard Day on the October 23 and World Lemur Day on the October 26.
