POLICE are warning that there are further reports of fallen trees between Capel Curig and Bethesda due to extreme weather caused by Storm Callum.

The A55 Britannia bridge is now closed to high sided vehicles, except for cars and car derived vans due to the high winds.

Motorists are also being urged to take care, and drive according to the road conditions.

In a Tweet North Wales Police said: "We are receiving further reports of fallen trees/branches in some areas - including the A5 between Capel Curig and Bethesda.

"If you are travelling this afternoon please take extra care and drive according to the conditions #StaySafe #StormCallum."

The Maritime and Coastguard agency is also urging people to stay back from piers, harbours and the water's edge during Storm Callum.

They also Tweeted the warning: "The sea is unforgiving. Even a small wave has the force to wash you into the sea.

"Remember NO footage, photograph or selfie is worth risking your life for."
