TWO people have been arrested after drugs warrants were executed in Bangor.

Following intelligence received, officers executed the warrants on the Maesgeirchen estate on the morning of Tuesday October 9, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

As a result a local man and woman were arrested for being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Detective Inspector Andrew Gibson said: “We want to reassure the people of Bangor that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area.

"These types of warrants would not be possible without the support and assistance of the local communities. I appeal to anyone with information linked to drugs supply of any kind to make contact with us. We will always treat any information in the upmost confidence."
