A CREATIVE free fun day for all is being hosted in Bangor.

The town's arts and entertainment centre Pontio is joining a UK wide campaign to host its very own 'Fun Palace.'

During the Fun Palace event, visitors are able to take part in all sorts of activities from karate, a fun session looking at the different/similar forms of football and dance, food tasting, cooking and origami workshops.

The fun day is being run by Pontio Arts in collaboration with Pontio Innovation and Catering departments, Bangor University’s Student Union and School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences, Sarah Mumford and Ethan Ray.

The fun starts at10am and runs until 4pm, on Saturday, October 6.

All events take place in various spaces on Level 2 in Pontio.

Anyone is welcome to come along at any time of the day.

Pontio’s artistic director, Elen ap Robert said: “It’s very exciting to be working with different departments within Pontio, putting our creative hats on and creating a fun day for the whole community.

"We hope that people of all ages will come in for a wonder to see what we have on and have some new experiences here at Pontio!”

Storiel, in Bangor, will also be hosting its own Fun Palace event also.
