A MAN who was arrested following an alleged hit and run incident involving a policeman on a Llangefni garage forecourt has been released from custody.
A plain clothes police officer was injured during the incident at the Texaco, Heron and Spar, garage on Tuesday afternoon, and is now recovering at home.
However, the injuries he sustained are not as serious as first thought.
The man arrested has since been released, so that further enquiries can continue.
Superintendent Richie Green added: "‘I’d like to thank the witnesses for coming forward and supporting the investigation.
"My immediate focus is for the continued recovery of the officer whilst the investigation is ongoing."
