POP superstars Take That will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a massive UK arena and stadium tour including five dates at Manchester Arena.

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen will bring their greatest hits to venues across the UK, kicking off in Sheffield on Monday, April 15 2019.

The tour then sees the trio take to Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin, London, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Bristol, Norwich, Middlesborough and Huddersfield. They’ll be playing six nights at London’s vast O2 as part of the run, as well as five homecoming shows in Manchester.

They’ll be joined on the road by special guest Rick Astley.

The tour news coincides with the announcement of their Odyssey album, a re-imagining of the band’s greatest hits. The release is preceded by the reworked version of Pray, originally unveiled in 1993 as part of their Everything Changes album.

Take That formed in Manchester in 1989, going on to become the biggest boy band in the world. Looking back at their career, which includes a nine year break, Howard Donald says: “The story is, if you think about it, quite mad.”

“We wanted to tell the tale of the band,” adds Mark Owen. “The history of what happened to us. If you only ever own one of them, this should be the definitive Take That record.”

Speaking of the creation of Odyssey‘s re-imagined tracks, Gary Barlow reveals: “Some have been reworked, but without spoiling what people loved about them in the first place. You’ve got to be respectful, but at the same time, you’ve got to let the ambition of doing something new and refreshed come through as well.”
