THIRTY special constables will be involved in Freshers' Week at Bangor University in the coming days.

A warm welcome has today been extended to the scores of new students arriving at the university ahead of the academic year.

This has included from the Special Constabulary, who will be on hand to welcome the new intake and "engage" with them.

Writing on Twitter, Special Constable (SC) Chief Inspector Neale Lewis-Jones said: "@NWPSpecials will be playing a part with 30 SCs getting involved over the week as Bangor welcomes 000's of new students to our beautiful city.

"We are here to engage, meet, direct, advise and pose for the odd selfie (best side only)."
