POLICE have closed the doors on a city property for a couple of days.

A Bangor property associated with drug use and antisocial behaviour was closed for 48 hours from Thursday, September 6.

The closure notice was issued by North Wales Police for 18 Llys Dylan in Maesgeirchen, as a result of evidence delivered that the property was associated with drug-related anti-social behaviour.

The property has been sealed and will be closed until 6.30pm today (Saturday, September 8).

It is now an offence for anyone to enter.

Insp Doug Hughes, of the policing team in Bangor, said: “This sends out a strong message to those individuals who wish to engage in acts of criminality within the community, disrupting the peaceful lives of innocent law-abiding citizens.

“Such behaviour can have a detrimental effect on individuals and the wider community and will not be tolerated.

“We would like to thank Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, local residents and the local community for their support in this matter and we will continue to take action against those who engage in such activity.”
