AROUND 70 people wore their Y-fronts as they gathered in Caernarfon over the weekend to help raise awareness of prostate cancer.
The "Trons dy Dad" (Your Dad's Underpants) event saw people of all ages come together and don their pants for a sponsored walk throughout the Town on Sunday morning.
Gwynedd Councillors Jason Parry, Dilwyn Lloyd and Roy Owen came up with the idea in order to bring attention to a disease which claims the lives of thousands of men every year.
Walkers set off from the Maes in the morning watched on by Prostate Cymru chair Tina Tew before the event ended with live music in aid of that charity.
Organisers believe they have more than doubled their original fundraising target of £1000 and have also secured matched funding from Santander.
"The event was a great success with around 70 people taking part," said Cllr Parry.
"On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in any way towards the cause.
"It is something we would like to carry on with in future and help it grow in popularity just as the Race For Life event has done.”
