THOUSANDS of people attended the Beaumaris Food Festival over the weekend.

Located opposite the Town's historic castle, the two-day event attracted people from all over Wales and beyond to sample some of the best flavours that the northern parts of the country have to offer.

The likes of Red Boat ice cream parlour, Jaspels Cider and Celtic Brownies were just a few of the big names who had set up shop on the festival grounds.

Visitors had the chance to tuck into everything from burgers and cheese to fudge, chocolate and cookies.

As well as tasty treats, there was also arts and crafts stands aplenty on hand to display some wonderful local creations and top chefs, such as Chateau Rhianfa's Jason Hughes gave interesting demonstrations on how to prepare top class meals.

Live entertainment was provided throughout the event too with the likes of Banda Bacana and The Magee Brothers entertaining the crowds.

Even TV star Johnny Vegas, who had been holidaying in Beaumaris for the past week, stopped by to enjoy some samples and take pictures with revellers.

Speaking on the success of this year's event, a Beaumaris Food Festival spokesperson said: "Can I just say a huge thank you to absolutely every one who came to the 2018 food festival, it has been a massive success once again.

"We as a team really hope that all of our visitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves here over the weekend and we can't wait to do it all over again next year."
