A 61 year old osteopath has been cleared by a jury of sexually touching a patient.

But he will be sentenced next month after having pleaded guilty previously to voyeurism involving another woman.

Michael Hammond, of Llangoed, Anglesey, had denied rubbing the breasts and nipples of the woman, in her 40s, and a jury of eight women and four men at Caernarfon crown court acquitted him.

He'd claimed the woman had made up what had happened in his Anglesey clinic in May 2016 and denied groping her.

The jury heard that between January 2007 and December 2009 he'd secretly filmed consensual sexual behaviour with a former patient in a Liverpool treatment room, which he admitted. The woman, unaware she was being filmed, had not been identified.

"It was not full intercourse," said Ffion Tomos, prosecuting. Hammond appeared to pull down her knickers and loosen her bra "and he's making direct eye contact with the camera".

Simon Mintz, defending, said his client had not practised since the latest allegations.

Judge Huw Rees said: "It seems to be a rather warped sexual attitude in your client which needs to be investigated. I'm not saying he is a danger to women but I need to know more."

The judge said he wanted to know more about Hammond before sentence and Hammond was bailed for a pre-sentence report.

He will be sentenced on August 9.
