A MAN has been left seriously injured following a crash on Anglesey.

The one-vehicle crash, involving a blue Citroen Saxo, happened on the  B5111 in Rhosybol at about 12.50pm today (Wednesday). 

A man has been taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance with serious injuries.

The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.

Parents wanting to collect their children from the nearby primary school are being advised that they will be allowed pedestrianised access.

Sergeant Jason Diamond of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anybody who may have seen the collision or who may have seen the blue Citroen Saxo being driven prior to the collision."

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said:  “We were called today (Wednesday) at approximately 12.50pm to reports of road traffic accident involving an overturned car in Rhos-y-bol, Anglesey. 

"We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance, where two patients were taken to Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor.”
