THE Gwyl Y Felinheli festival week came to and end with a fantastic carnival over the weekend.

Having started on June 29, a busy schedule over seven days saw the village host a 10k race and live performances from bands such as the Magee Brothers.

On Sunday, the festival came to an end with a lively and colourful carnival as people from all over Felinheli and beyond came together to celebrate.

Fancy floats flooded the streets of the village and pirates, footballers, sailors and princesses were just the tip of the iceberg when it came to the fancy dress outfits on show.

There were family games to be enjoyed by all and a festival quiz was also held at the big marquee.

The Stwr wrth y Dwr event saw plenty of singing and dancing take place as guests enjoyed the entertainment.

The popular 10k race was won by Russell Bentley, with Martin Green and Ifan Dafydd in second and third place respectively.

All in all, it was another successful year of entertainment for Felinheli.
